Become a foster
Fosters and their families play an integral part within rescue! PawPrints is a completely foster-based rescue, allowing all of our animals to rest comfortably in loving homes while we search for their FURever families. Many of these animals have been through difficult experiences, both mentally and physically, and opening your home to a foster cat or dog not only saves a life, but will undoubtedly bring a tremendous amount of happiness and love to yours as well.
As a foster, you will be asked to provide a low-stress environment where the foster animal can decompress and feel safe. Some of the skills you may be asked to navigate with them could involve socialization, basic commands, and occasionally some simple behavior modification tools. While the rescue does manage all expenses and logistics involving veterinary care, we do ask that our fosters be available to take their foster animals to any regularly scheduled veterinary appointments and that our fosters stay observant regarding any ongoing or new medical concerns
so that each foster animal can receive any necessary veterinary care as quickly as possible.
Fosters will also be asked to take on a roll in promoting their foster animals for adoption through scheduled adoption events, social media posts, and word of mouth. We appreciate anything that our foster families can do to help find the perfect FURever home for each of our foster animals!
